Pietman Lategan established Pietman Lategan Architects in 2008 and operates from a studio in Rosebank. The practice works on residential, industrial and commercial projects, providing full architectural design and master planning. Work is based on a solid foundation of design excellence, budget and project management and the achievement of the best value and architectural quality.
With 22 years experience in Architecture and Property Development, Pietman brings to all his projects the same dedicated approach. He places importance on the way buildings are designed, the way they are built, and the public spaces they create. Pietman is well known for the consistency of his approach and his attention to detail.
The practice strives to create unique and exclusive designs for clients by translating their needs and desires into physical structures that match functionality to creativity, and it serves both local and international clients.
Prior to establishing his own practice, Pietman gained a wealth of experience in the leisure, healthcare, retail and commercial sectors. His range of Architectural projects included a Buddhist temple, hospitals and government offices, as well as shopping centres and multi-million rand residential developments.
Pietman holds a Masters in Architecture from the Technikon of Pretoria and is registered as a Professional Architect with SACAP (South African Council for the Architectural Profession). He is a member of SAIA (South African Institute of Architects), PIA (Pretoria Institute of Architects) , (AUA) African union of architects and the UIA (International Union of Architects).
